Delivery frequently asked questions

Q: I placed an order with Royal Mail delivery over a week ago, is it normal for it to be this late?

A: Sadly yes, with the Royal Mail industrial action ongoing we have seen significant short term delays in some orders reaching customers. These delays are not isolated to the designated strike days - the effects can extend into the days after the strike as Royal Mail staff work to scan, sort and despatch overdue orders. Please be patient whilst they do this.

Q: How can I check the status of my order?

A: Through visiting your Purchase History. You will be able to see the tracking number as a link next to the item you are waiting for - you can also use this tracking number on the Royal Mail website. If you ordered via our own site, please refer to your ‘Order Processed’ email.

Sometimes you may see a message like 'Item despatched to Royal Mail', with the tracking history showing 'Sender despatching item' with no further update. No need to panic if you see this, we have despatched your order, this simply means Royal Mail have yet to sort, scan and despatch the order to your local delivery network. They scan in their depots, not when they collect from ourselves.

Please note: Our team cannot see any more information than what is provided in your tracking.

Q: My order is now too late for me to use, can I cancel?

A: Yes, but not until the order has safely arrived with you. At this time, please contact our team who will talk you through how to have this returned for a full refund.

Q: I need to place another order, how do I stop this also being delayed?

A: We do offer next day delivery on most items we list. This is a courier service that is not directly linked to the Royal Mail action, but do note that ongoing industrial action may lead to increased strain on courier services. All orders must be placed by 2.30pm for next day delivery.

Q: Why are you using Royal Mail even in light of the strike action?

A: Royal Mail is the UK’s only universal sender, which allows us to ship the majority of our parts safely and affordably to the whole UK. Whilst the strikes have proven disruptive in the short term, they remain a reliable partner that allows us to keep our delivery costs low, allowing us to pass the savings on to you.

We hope these FAQs have helped and we thank you for your continued patience, please be assured we are doing all we can to get your order safely to you.
