When fitting a new stereo, a cage is necessary for keeping it in place. Without it, the new stereo may not fit securely and will therefore be both dangerous and inconvenient when driving. Radio cages keep stereos in place through metal hooks that 'click' it into place when the stereo is inserted into the car. This radio cage fits Sony, Blaupunkt, Grundig and VDO manufactured radios/stereos.
