Maypole’s flux cored Mig welding wire is suitable for these types of situations. Flux cored wire is not only an economical solution for those of you who only weld on the odd occasion, but it is also the perfect solution for outdoor welding as it will still work flawlessly even in light winds which is not possible when using gas. This spool comes with 0.9kg of flux cored steel wire and is 0.9mm thick.

To solve this problem Maypole now supply a range of replacement gas cylinders suitable for use with most models of mini Mig welder; for welding with aluminium, mild or stainless steel. This Carbon Dioxide (CO2) cylinder from Maypole is suitable for welding with mild steel only. The gas comes in an easy to fit, disposable, pressurised canister, which should be disposed of with other ferrous metals. The gas cylinder also comes with full fitting and usage instructions.
